Who cares. Does it have higher specs sure. Is it as dedicated to gaming as the GameCube No. Nintendo, since the NES, has allways used extra, proprietery graphics rendering hardware specifically made for playing their games.

And even if the XBox comes out more powerful that has nothing to do with the quality of games. Remember the NES survived well into the 16-Bit era because the Genisis simply didn't have that many great games to begin with.

I cast my vote for the PS2 and GameCube any day. If I wanted flashy graphics I'd boot up Maya, otherwise I play the GameCube for a fun gaming experience that can't be beat.

Heh, not very funny. Blunt, but to the point. What the fuck are you talking about here? The Xbox is worse than the DREAMCAST! Sega CD was better! It is the WORSE and BIGGEST FAILURE in console gaming history. IT sold 1 million units, then it's sales dropped like a rock and third party developers left Microsoft to rot. Because it is dead. I hate to have to break it to you PC gamers and anti-Microsoft people who seem to insist that an Intel at 733mHZ is better than an IBM PowerPC at 485mHZ, sorry, GC processes faster. PS2 processes faster, and the Xbox sucks ass.

One Megahert is really nothing. What really makes a processor good are the materials that it utilizes, and the hardware that helps it work. Numbers mean nothing with hardware.

Ok, you obviously are the typical gamer who does not have any idea what the hell they are talking about. First of all, the Xbox had 20 games at launch, and 4 months later, they have 30. At the GameCube launch, 12 games. Now? 35.

Developers have dropped the Xbox. At first, M$ had support, but now they have nothing. Because they are, in fact, nothing. The Xbox does not have superior games. Most of it's exclusives are clear rip offs of games from other consoles. Like Halo, for example, it is a rip-off of Perfect Dark 64 without Simulants.

As for other games like Spy Hunter and MLB 2003, they are on other consoles. So what is the point? There are two clear options if you are shopping for a console: GameCube and PlayStation 2.

As for me? My fav is the PS2, and my second is GC. Just because not all of the GameCube games involve mindlessly blowing apart baddies with infinite ammo (bad cop show) does not mean that it is 'kiddie.' I know that XBOX FANBOYS like yourself don't even take FACTS into consideration, even if they are supposedly "anti-Microsoft" they just look at Halo, 733 and Bill Gates... then they think Xbox is the best.

Seriously, a game can be nothing more than a pixel on a screen and be fantastic, apart from all the other arguments and rants in this thread, my main qualm remains the same, the games on the XBox seriously lack Gameplay. It's just rehash after rehash, take a look a pikmin or some of the PS2 titles and you will notice a clear variety of genre that lacks in the XBox.

Why? As Mysterio said, Developers are bailing and leaving M$ in the Mud. Like the N64 before it M$ will never survive without Square, Nintendo, or Capcom behind them.

M$ thinks that puting PC titles on a console will sell it, but people buy consols because, they want cosole games.

I have never actually bought a Squaresoft, capcom, or nintendo game. that is because they all suck except for FF. and one set of games isn't a good enough reason to buy an old console. Guys, I think if you like gay console games, get a gay console. If you like PC Games (like myself) but don't want to have to upgrade your hardware every year and hate installing and all the shit that comes with windows then the xbox is for you.

That is what I like about the XBox is the PCGames, I have never truly liked any console game I have ever played better than some of my games on PC, and now that I don't have a PC (upgraded to PM G4) I need something to give me PC Games, cus there aren't enough games for the Mac.

Jepp! XBox is nothing compared to Playstation 2. XBox has, yes, a little better ghrapic quality than PS2. But that is all.

PS2 have better games, possibility to watch DVD movies, and the possobility to play PS1 games. Can XBox do that?? I don't think so...
