Click here to DL my app! This is a very nifty app for MacOS 10.2 or above to display Apple vs microsoft stock (note I did not capitilize microsoft)

BTW: fuck yahoo, it dont work good. Click in the URL bar and hit return.

Very nice. You should note that your little program is for OSX and not Windows or whatever. Just so its not confusing

lol, I am trying to find a good free host thats better than yahoo.. any suggestions?

PS I am hopefully gonna add a suck-o-meter 2 this app, wich will compare the number of google "I HATE MICROSOFT" results to the number of "I HATE APPLE" results (there are about 3x more microsoft hate sites then apple hate sits

What I don't get is how the script could read the results number off of a google search, that is if you performed it real-time and not entered the number of results upon writing. But I've never dealt with Java, PHP, or whatever you're writing this in.

Yeah, when I noticed it was a zip file, I thought it was going to be an exe but it was actually for OSX.

uhh... 10.3 has zipping built in. Select an item(s), ctrl click and select create archive.
I aint gonna spend a billion buks on stuffit deluxe.

Well, It can get word# of line# etc.... and the number of results remains static..... the only problem is getting my language to recognize the "," in the number. It dont like numbers with commas in them. I am working on that though..... And .zip came from gzip, wich is UNIX, so MacOSX supports it 8)

I just downloaded the standard edition and am ignoring all of the dialogues asking for me to register.

Why not just use the .zip compression? Its built-in, in finder, no registration dialogs!

Even in OSX versions before panther you can use gzip from the commandline.

just type:

$ man gzip

to get info on how to do it.

The part that does not include the results does not change. I can use reletave locations wich allow for some error. Just dont worry about it. I do the work. And, the funny thing is that I made an applescript that I put on my desktop that would automatically gzip things. The fact that Apple put in that menu feature is cool, and easier, so I use it.
