Although I do live in the northern hemisphere, I do not even get reliable phone access, let alone broadband.
Even the troops in Iraq have a decent internet connection.

That's kinda ironic, when the Marines get broadband charging in, but I can't even get 56kbps within nuke distance of DC.:nothappy:

[OFFTOPIC]Well, the Netherlands, South Korea, etc. have kick ass internet connections because those countries have compact cities, and have set up wireless connections for "the middle of nowhere" areas.

That you don't get decent internet is simply because the US has large areas and although cities have room enough to expand, there is still lots of space left. And with privitized cable companies, it gets worse. If they figure out that it will make them more money not to lay in viber to your town, rather than providing people with broadband internet, they're not going to do it.[/OFFTOPIC]

[offtopic]But... a satellite dish should work, should it not?[/offtopic]

H_TeXMeX_H:
Yes ... satellite should work anywhere on the planet ... (they are usually geostationary satellites near the equator ... so maybe not at the poles, even though it probably works there too)
