Bandwidth limit

Well your country is cool ... the US is not (maybe it was at one point, but recently everything has turned to shit !)

worker201:
I just got back from visiting some pretty shitty places overseas, and I am beginning to wonder if maybe (just maybe) things like bandwidth limits and street sweeping machines and DRM and proprietary cola forumulas are the cornerstones of this fabulous society that we have here.  Perhaps price-gouging by WalMart and corporate welfare for GM and the McDonaldization of the American farm is a good thing.  Maybe these are the kinds of things that allow us to pave our roads and sterilize our bathrooms and browse through a store without being molested by an overachieving salesman.

Meh, probably not.

This site is hosted in Canada.

And while home internet connections almost never have bandwidth limits (except in crappy locations), paid web hosting almost always does.

piratePenguin:
I have a bandwidth limit :(
30Gb. EDIT: if I go over that I have to pay extra per gigabyte

Every ADSL service provider in my area that I know of has a bandwidth limit.

We should've gotten a bunch of computers to repeatadly visit microsuck.com, downloading the "bandwidth limit exceeded" message, increasing the bandwidth of the service provider :D

If someone made a program to do that, we could (unofficially) do it next time (if it happens again)...

WMD:
Yeah, Western Europe is one of those places where bandwidth limits are rampant.  Austrailia is the other big one.
