Oh God, it is terrible. The U3 garbage takes ages to load, even on my C2D system. I just picked up a basic flash drive to store some files on, mabye to use as a bootable  DSL drive. If I need to carry around applications, I'll burn a damn Knoppix or DSL disk.

Isn't there a tool available to auto-remove this shit from the usb stick?

Just removed U3, the uninstaller isn't  bad, but it's still a PITA to deal with.
