And so does Windows XP. But if I have to choose between something that looks good, but sucks (Windows XP) or look reasonable and kicks ass (GNU/Linux), I'd choose the second one.

Mozilla is definitely better as is any other browser that uses the Gecko rendering engine, like Camino, Phoenix etc. Opera and IE suck at "positioning" and use too many proprietary filters. On the other hand any browser based on Gecko will get the job right!   ;)

IE??? Is a piece of crap, no doubt about it, it has to be one of the most unreliable browsers out there. It's the bain of my life, I guarantee that if I'm developing a site it will work on everything else except IE, it''s a fucking waste of hard drive. OK point in case:

Developed an interface that usd linked CSS to change the style of rollover, so on "hover" the link becomes italic, Moz, Safari, Opera etc... no problems. IE, no it can't do that because say an italic verdana 12px font is NOT the same as verdana 12px regular.

That's funny. For I know a person who actually use nothing but IE for internet banking and general browsing and says "The updates will keep the browser nice and sercuer" lol. I have tried to convert him to Mozilla or at least Netscape, but he just won't budge.

Well, the only reason that I use Explorer is because I have no choice.  It is the ONLY browser that supports Zone.com

Before you ask, I play AC, and that is (in reality) NOT a microsoft product

Unless someone can tell me of any other browser that works perfectly at starting my game?

Yeah-I`ve tried a few browsers lately.Opera`s more fun to use than most. But I used the latest Mozilla build and it seems faster than any other browser I`ve tried.Being a beta, it did have it`s faults which is understandable.I stopped using IE some time ago...

zone.com is a microsoft address, that's why.
Trust msn to not make their sites standards compliant.     Hey does anyone know how to "misreport" your browser?  I wonder if we could trick zone.com into thinking we were using IE.  It would probably work then.  ;)

what you want is the prefab bar.
it does alot of things, one of which is to mask your browser.

Has anyone tried Mozilla Firebird (still in beta 0.6)? I just finished installing it to a zip disk to run when I am at work. It's pretty fast, and comes with a nice smooth default skin and lots of customizing options. Just type 'about:config' in the address bar and it takes you to a huge list of customizing options, and it also worked for my bank's website which "requires" IE with no ad ons or plugins

I'm using Mozilla, recently upgraded to 1.3

I found Opera to be cool, but I didn't like the banner.  Is that still part of the free version?

If Netscape 7.0 is like 6.0, its too bloated.

Keep IE around to poke fun at.  But never use it to browse--certainly not internet banking.

BTW: about those 600,000 suckers who installed XP security updates and couldn't log on to the web due to conflicts with Symantec software.
