Jobs gets iLiver
« on: 22 June 2009, 03:01 »
His pancreas cancer spread. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=avEmdH2YQ0vA
It says something about California health care that he had to go to Vandy for the operation.
It's also probably a temporary fix. If there are any stray cancer cells remaining, his new liver will get reinfected eventually, esp/ with the immune suppressive drugs that go with organ transplants.
I worked with a man who died from pancreas cancer. Jobs has been fortunate so far.
