Speaking of hardware support, I'm noticing that more and more hardware vendors are supporting Linux. Could you imagine that nVidia would make drivers for BSD and Linux a few years ago?

Esspecially on the server side, where Linux and BSD rule, hardware vendors are forced to make drivers for the two OS's. Also on the desktop side, I see more support.

Currently no but I do have copies of both Mandrake 9 & 9.1

Im trying to decide if I should upgrade or not, and if I do, I dont want to bother installing Linux if my hardware is going to change soon.
