Not really. The Windows XP firewall is non-configurable, and is - due to the lack of updating on Microsoft's side - one of the worst security products ever.

If you want a real firewall, I suggest using Linux (which built-in firewall is top quality).

I so totally agree with you there. My friend put that xp stuff on this morning. I still think Linux is the best...

Welcome back Predator long time no see

Even though Linux is the best, SP 2 is a welcome improvement to XP.

I agree.

Even better:
I've noticed a cool new feature of SP 2, when your computer starts up the progress bar is blue instead of green.

How cool is that?

Blue, my Favorite colour.

Blue is cool unlike that sickey green colour.

Wow that's a definite improvement.  :D

Blue. Blue is good, but black is THE best colour. Black like an MSDOS screenshot...

SP2 also changes the splash screen to a generic "Microsoft Windows" logo, with the "Home Edition" or "Professional" branding removed.. very curious indeed.

I wonder if there is a single unified client version in the future, instead of the two separate ones.

Blue isn't always good, a Blue screen of death isn't good.

Black looking like a MS-DOS screenshot would be good then XP could show you whats loading up, then you could see if anything was wrong.
