Microsoft Brings Web Services and Bluetooth to Cars Worldwide

I thought that Microsoft would at least go over every inch of the CE kernel before they put it into a car. Maybe they didn't. Anyone ever hear of the problems that BMW 745is have? Auto trunk that won't shut, different radio stations coming on when they shouldn't at FULL VOLUME, the car downshifting to 1st gear on the highway. Y'know, little shit like that that can get someone killed...and if the CE kernel controlling most of the 745i's functions doesn't kill someone, the iDrive interface will. Imagine using a force feedback joystick/wheel hybrid to control the car's AC, radio, and various other functions while you're driving. And they wonder why they see this little 86 MR2 speeding away from them.

what????????????????
why the fuck did you think that?

and this product will go ahead no matter how many people it kills. for some reason microsoft are god to those who have money and death will not change that.

We WANT "turn by turn" directions?  A computer telling you "left here, right here" every single second doesn't strike anyone else as quite possibly the most insanely annoying thing ever conceived???

Thank god for the public transportation system.

TheKnifeThrower:
They will start off with giving people directions. Then they will use the computers to actually drive the car for the person.
