mc0282:
i been asking my self since i heard about the tcpa,dmca,drm,etc.. ok when windows longhorn is release and i know some hacker, cracker is going to unleash some worm and prove the microsoft windows is never going to be secure, is people going to wake the fuck up and say "enough of this shit,
i am going to find something better"
or people going to stay close minded with there heads up there asses keep using windows?, people complaint when the dvd player doesn't want to work people complaint when AC is not cooling the room, why people don't complaint microsoft want to take your privacy? come on tell me how many people in this country against it ?
i be honest if i had cold heart i would create a fucking bomb and told the people at microsoft get out, and i would blow up microsoft headquater into piece to prove a fucking point, i am sick of there shit .
sorry for the long paragraph i want to see if other people feel the same way or just want to stay here complaint and not do shit about it.

Ms users are Ms users becuase of the type of person they are, most of them won't change to a different OS because of DRM, they'll think it's fine. That's just the way they are.
Faust:
Frogs in pots. Unless its a solid, hard shock (like an MS crash fucking over my entire goddamn "Windows approved" HDD partitions) people wont change.

i told a customer of mine, i am not responsible for whatever headache window gives you complaint to microsoft , and he ask me " why people hate windows ? i mean i like it and is simple to use" <-- this comment boil inside of me because this dumbass want "simple" just fucking buy a MAC and less worrying how many time you had to reboot or format the hard drive, Apple Computer can't get any easier than already is.
let me ask yah a question don't yah worry when yah go somewhere and they ask you personal stuff like social security ,address,etc.. and you know they're using windows to sumbit your personal and windows has alot flaws, bug, etc? shit sometime i don't give up my infomation to them because i tell them are you using windows and they say yes, i tell them well i am sorry but i won't finish this because i don't trust microsoft and i hate them. yah could call me crazy but this my way spreading the word and you should see them when they try to define SERCURE to me! ha ha people are fallen into microsoft spell

Microsoft users are microsoft users because it's what they are used to and have grown up with and/or used at work. After using them so long, regardless of crashes, people grow to accept them and like them. Linux scares people for whatever reason (play around with knoppix, there's nothing to be afraid of).
Microsoft is good at scaring people, and Longhorn is a GREAT example. They are really getting it a lot of attention, saying it's going to be this great thing and nothing else will come close to it. Graphic-wise at first, unsure. Microsoft seems to have some pretty "neat" crap to work with. (rotating window demos, all sorts of fancy special effects to drool over, not that any will make it into Longhorn though, they are just demos). The hardware built-in security is a good idea, as it could be used to give each individual a unique id through some algorithim or other crap. Of course you can see the negative to this, but.. hmm actually that seems to invade on peoples rights, but w/e. And lets not forget another thing, besides the new hardware, its STILL windows and unless Microsoft is about to prove they can make an extremely secure, hard to crash, fast and open operating system (to some degree), it's still going to be like every other Windows that has come out (recently, they do seem to be getting better at Windows). I will be watching Microsoft and the Linux Community closely in 2005. I hate to be negative, but I feel Windows is going to run short of it's expectations in the long run.
