Can you prove to my brother that XP sucks more then W98?

<< < (4/6) > >>

ims27_8:
trillian does it nicely.

foobar:
I don't use any messenger, but trillian does a nice job, as i have heard.
But shorty said that if more people use trillian, it saves all its data as if you were one person. So if you know your little brother always calls himself 'wankerman' and laugh at him for it, if he used trillian on your pc, the next time you login your name is 'wankerman' !!

And for msn:
I heard trillian was multiplatform, for linux you can consider ccmsn, but a friend of mine told me there was a better-looking version of msn for linux around ... dunno nemore what its name was ...

Refalm:

quote:-=f00bar=-: I heard trillian was multiplatform
--- End quote ---

Uhm no... Trillian is Windows only (and Wine too, so I heard).

Chooco:
i won't even attempt to prove it because i think it is wrong. Windows 98 is not stable at all, it loses resources and doesn't gain them back as well as being a lot harder to use than Windows XP is. WinXP is a little slow on my slow computer compared to Win98 but it rarely crashes (mostly Internet Explorer screwing up) and it does not have to be restarted all the time. i find that Windows XP is more self configuring than Win98 is, sort of like Linux. when i plugged the cable from my printer into my computer, Windows immediately brought up a dialogue asking if i wanted to configure that device, i said yes and the printer works beautifully now    i don't remember Win98 ever doing that.

lazygamer:
Ok, I agree that im starting to like XP. Now as a messenger for my brother(he should stop by here sometime), he wants to know one thing.

XP professional VS XP home edition? Surely home edition is lower quality?
