All Things Microsoft > Microsoft Software
Look what this "sophisticated win user" has to say...

isn't that fantastic! www.linux.org is down
talk about stability
/me waits for the flames
RudeCat7:
BLAH! BLAH! BLAH!
That's right, I'm a Linux noob. But at least this fucking noob doesn't have the problems you do. How fucking retarded must you be?
What distro left you so fucking twisted? It must've been many years ago, are you talking about Minix?
Once again, I don't understand what you choose to stand for...closed source, the never ending software upgrade, the never ending hardware upgrade, the never ending intrusion into your privacy. Can you afford to continue this way? I don't believe than any casual user shells out $200 bucks for windows, $200 plus for office, $20 bucks for anti-virus software, $40 bucks for norton utilities, $20 bucks for windows blinds, $100 bucks for dreamweaver, $400 bucks for photoshop, etc. etc. etc. Then if you want to get into server software, watch out! advanced server 2000, $900 bucks to start plus licenses, I don't even want to mention SQL or IIs the price is astronomical! All this can be had in Linux! for free if you have the brains! or cheaper than m$ even if you buy it retail.
I didn't really read most of your posts anyway, I'm sure they're silly because your ego got rubbed the wrong way. I'd actually be nicer if you didn't make such general, uneducated statements. But oh well, that's the way of the Troll. :D
Oh yeah, this is my favorite part about Linux. Say the noob fucks up his account really bad. As root you just delete that user account, and then re-add it, piece o cake. That's called learning!

Why would they have to learn a programming language if they don't want to. Home Linux users don't need to learn a language any more than Windows users do. And they don't have to deal with compile errors if they aren't compiling. They don't have to compile anything. But it sure is nice to have that option unlike M$ operating systems.

oh and a newbie tries to remove a directory called "bin" from his home dir so he types rm -r /bin and his whole system is fucked. isn't that fantastic for the work environment?
--- End quote ---
Not true at all. First of all, a normal user does not have access to remove /bin or any file in it. In a work/corporate environment users certainly would not have root's password. And even if you did have administrative access and deleted "/bin" it would take all of 5 minutes to get it back. I don't see how this makes your system f00ked. Another troll?

then you havent had the joy of not crashing. I do not know a shit-load about computers, and i dont have to be able to use linux. i switched like a month ago, and havent looked back. linux just makes more sense than windows, now that i am getting more comfortable with it. granted, windows2000/nt is more stable than any other flavor of windows, but next to my mac or linux box, it doesnt stand a chance. today alone windows has crashed twice. (first time i booted into it in a while also). i dont even let the bastard online. my mac/linux machines have been running non-stop for a while now, with no crashes (ever), no fuckups to report, no problems.
i suggest you get your head out of your ass, and get a life. stop trying to defend your precious windows, it will get you nowhere. unless of course you are here just to get a rise out of us, and in that case, fuck off.
