need help to stop xp sending my pc info out

well i'm new and unfurtunetly i have xp insttaled on my pc becauce of my work. but i've heard that xp sends out the serial num. and private info out as soon as you log on the net! I dont like that and I want to stop it... does any of you guys know how to get reed of this bug? :(

It's not a bug.
It's a innovative feature by microsoft.
I'd say search around Script Kiddie sites, they oughta have a few things to stop that.

There is a handy utility called XP Anti-Spy. I think Refalm posted the link a few days ago. Anyway, why don't you give Linux a try? It's easier than ever to install and use and it comes with literally tons of software! That way you wouldn't have to worry about windows spyware and bloatware. ;)
