who?

and they probably said it (at least said it correctly) a few years ago when it was a little hard to work with. I'd suggest RedHat 9, very easy. I think most people would tell you to run to mandrake but I dont really like it, you might. you should give it a shot at least, what do u have to lose?

i actually wrote several FAQ entries which you might want to read through, useful for general windows info too.

please download mandrake 9.1 istall it and do not download it using mozilla or netscape. I recomend getright download manager.

I installed Red Hat 9 "out the box" with no problems. (There is a problem with Win Modems but my card is ok)

I haven't had to do anything geeky.  For Internet, email, word processing (spreadsheets etc) it worked fine.  No tweeking at all.

I've got it on an old AMD 500.

Give it a go.  It is free, but a big download - too big for most.  You can buy it, if you do it's really cheap (
