Programs Running in Background

(1/2) > >>

Bud Abbott:
My computer is running at 50% capacity and that's with the programs turned off in the alt, ctrl, del box, only systray and explorer are showing.  Sometimes I get a message other programs are writing to drive C when I scan disk or do other utilities. Any suggestions? is Norton Ghost or system works any good for this.

Master of Reality:
Switching to Linux would solve a lot of your worries.

Bud Abbott:
I'm afraid to make the move since I do not know how my computer and the programs will run.  Thanks for the information and what will happen to my computer and the programs if I do switch.

Master of Reality:
Windows programs wont run in Linux. ELX linux and Lycoris are meant to be for people coming from windows and are very much like windows. Luckily there are many replacements for you windows applications and there is a wide variety to choose from. The only downside is that some of the windows games have yet to be ported (converted) to Linux.
