I seriously doubt it. The Linux community has been saying that Linux will take over soon for the last 10+ years. Has it happened? No. It is nothing more than wishful thinking on the Linux communities' part.

Oh god I love longhorn!!!!!

NOT

XP will still be best, not some fucked up messed up GUI that I don't want to get used to and some OS that will prevent me from copying a video file to a CD or forwarding someone's email.

GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH

If MS does implement all of the BS to prevent people from sharing files, using non-DRMprotected media, etc. I'm sure there will be hacks out there(just like how the unhackable activation got hacked). I doubt that MS will be able to implement all of the media security stuff because other media players for Windows(like Winamp, Quicktime, etc.) will still be able to play non-protected media. For E-Mail...if you don't use Outlook Express I'm sure you will still be able to send whatever you want over E-Mail.

MS will not be able to stop users from using whatever they want on thier system. MS may be able to prevent users from doing stuff using MS software(like WMP and Outlook) but there will always be alternatives out there. ;P

So what did M$ copy this time as far as GUI is conserned...

Hmmmm... the start bar now looks very much like the panel bar in Gnome. The interface is an alpha blended blue curve with hardware accelerated window transperancies and rendering from OSX.

Ok. nice. Inovative... BS

same old same old.
