I wouldn't be any hasty in running a P2P program that hasn't been tested by others. I remember reading on Kazaa that "they did not include any spyware whatsoever". A little googleing revealed very different facts. Their claim was later removed when Steve Gibson got all pissed off at them.

Luckily, there's another client out there for windows called KCeasy. It uses the same giFT daemon as poisoned does, and it has an interface similar to Kazaa. Not to mention it's open-source.

How about some for Mandrake Linux? Currently I am using DCGUI (Direct Connect linified).

Their are many giFT clients for linux.
