i would like to setup mozilla to open a link in a new tab just by clicking the link.
ive went thru the prefs. and could not find the option. am i blind or can it not be done?

Dunno about Mozilla, but I know firebird has a extension called "tabbrowser extensions" that has the option you require.

In 1.2 you can configure a particular button to open new tabs in preferences -> navigator -> tabbed browsing
