i dont know what oyu man by once as root and once as user.

are you logging in as root?

please.. for security reasons.. dont ever log in as root.

when you go to run yast logged in as oyur normal user, it asks for root password... this is cuz its launching yast as root, its the only way you can run yast... so you cannot run YOU as a user

Yeah i kno about logging onto the net as root.  I was doing it as user anyway but i just wanted to know.
