library issues

foobar:
i have this binary, squake (quake 1 for linux svgalib) that does work on an old slackware 3.1.0 distro, but refuses to work on my newer mandrake 8.1 distro, even after i copied the slackware's libraries to the mandrakes, like voidman advised me to do ... i checked out 'strings squake', and every library it said it needed i have copied ...
help !

add the directory of libs and run as root and type ldconfig
