It's interesting how the only company that sees the GPL as "viral" is the only one with an OS that is susceptible to viruses.

Actually, it's far from the only corporation (or person) to see the GNU GPL as viral. It does have some pretty 'viral' stuff in it. Do remember though that there are some good viruses in this world of ours. Besides, it's not nearly as viral as proprietary products - only people who use BSD-style licenses (or similar) have any reason to complain about the GPL's virality.
