How would you alter your desktop?

Personally I've been wanting to see what Gnome would look like with menu/window shadows and translucency so I made this mock up image:

There are several things I would change about various desktop environments, what about you?  If anybody else wants to make a desktop interface mockup and put it here, then do so, so we can see it.  Mine is pretty stupid but I'm sure other people can find ways of making KDE, Gnome, etc. look different or better somehow.

PS don't draw any strange conclusions about me from the background, its just a harmless hobby i have.     At least I don't have Bubbles for the icon of my p0rn directory like that guy did in one of the kde screenshots I posted earlier...

Gnome doesnt have transparent menus? I just assumed it did since KDE does. Anyway thats a pretty neat pic.

Nice, but I think you missed the point.  You're supposed to modify the snapshot to add features/eye candy that your gui doesn't support yet.
