Calum:
well i would recommend using cfdisk however i know that red hat gives you the option of using disk druid or fdisk and that's it. if it were me i would indeed run the mandrake installer up to the diskdrake section and then exit to install red hat on my new partitions, but frankly i cannot see why there's anything wrong with that. why complain if it gets the job done? i am sure i could have booted linux off a floppy and run cfdisk had i wanted to, and that method is just as good. i used to do all my partitioning by using a DOS floppy and the dos program pqmagict.exe which is very similar to cfdisk but with less otions and (i realised quite quickly) much more flakiness especially on newer drives.

so i don't think doogee is the only one who would use those perfectly good partitioning tools, no.

and how the hell did you munt the internet? i am eager to find out! will it still be munted next time i want to use it?

Faust:
fdisk is cool
back when I was using Mandrake 9.0 and working out how to set up my partitions I would boot into red hat 7.1 install just to get the control available with fdisk.
