I really like mandrake, but have a question.

I have 56k AOL...

How do I get a working internet connection going in mandrake? It'd be tight if i could go online with that baby!!!

I cant get an internet connection going on my mandrake, I want to DL more wallpapers =D... anyways.. anyone know howto setup an internet connection for mandrake? I have 56k AOL on windows.... Do I need to pay money to get a connection on linux?

First of all, congratulations on your new Linux box! Now, what kind of modem do you have? If it's a PCI winmodem, then it propably won't work. However you could go to http://www.linmodems.org and see if you can get it to work with open source drivers.

If it's a hardware modem you're talking about, then it's almost certainly supported and it'll work flawlessly. USB modems are also partially supported.

Now if your modem IS supported go to Mandrake control center in KDE or GNOME and set up your connection. I don't know about AOL though
