Okie dokies, heres the jiff.
My Computer : Red Hat Linux 8.0
Sis' Computer : Win 98 SE
Dad's Computer : Win 98 SE (but i showed him Linux today and he was very impressed )
How do i set up these computers to be networked as if they were like network neighborhood?
The computers all link up at the Router for ADSL and i am able to ping the local IP's/Hostnames of the seperate computers if zonalarm is turned off on those computers.
Networking with the sisters computer would be a dream cos she is the only one with a burner so if i need to burn stuff it needs to first get to her computer.
So... How do i do it???!???

Windows98 does use passwords for networking. Each windows share must be set up with a share name and password before it can be acessed with smbmount or smbclient.
You can leave the password blank but that is foolish.
Doogee:
oh so the password doesnt mean the windows logon password, but the password you use when setting up the samba server on the windows bochs? am i right?
