kernel bad?

(1/1)

Master of Reality:

quote:
The kernel could net be read due to the following error:
/usr/src/linux/drivers/hotplug/config.in, line 4:

mainmenu_option next_commnet
parse error

either your kernel sources conatin invalid configuration rules or you just found a bug in the KDE Kernel Configurator.
--- End quote ---

I was looking through the control panel and got this message when i went to the KDE Kernel Configurator... anyone know what this means?

voidmain:
KDE kernel configurator?  Why not use the normal method?

1) # cd /usr/src/linux
2) # make xconfig
3) # make dep;make clean;make;make modules;make modules_install;make install

See /usr/src/linux/README for more easy to follow instructions...

Master of Reality:
I wasnt actually doing anything with the kernel.... just wandering around the KDE control center.

voidmain:
Ahhh, that'll teach ya.  Don't you know you're not supposed to wander around?  You might get lost....
