as thequirk said, stick the xfs disc in, and in the disk partitioning section, there will be a new option of xfs, use it instead of ext2 or ext3

lazygamer:
Well luckily for you Quirk, I had to STFW to find out what STFW means, and I did...

Hmmmm FIVE RH install CD's?! What the heck is Redhat SRPMS disc #1 and #2?!

lazygamer:
Ok maybe I'll find out when I install RH, but it's such a simple question...  ;)

Calum:
source rpms. they install the source of each program (i don't remember if they also install the binaries, but binaries are often all you get with normal rpms)

re: multibooting. if you use lilo, all the config info is in /etc/lilo.conf. Search the web to find out how to edit it, or wait a couple of weeks until i write the LiLo FAQ, coming soon on fuckmicrosoft.com (we hope).

re: booting windows and so on: yes, install all the windows first beforee linux, and remember to make a linux bootdisk during the install.

Re: more than one copy of windows. You will want to probably use the NT bootloader to manage your windows things. Not sure how to set that up, but i think you install windows 98, then install windows NT4, 2000, or maybe XP does it too, and you may well get some shit during the install asking you if you want a multiboot. I think you might be able to add windows 95 after that, but frankly, why?

Now you can set up linux and lilo. make it point to the windows bootloader as one entity called'windows' or something like that, and then when you switch on, you'll get the lilo menu, and if you select windows you'll get the NT bootloader menu.

Does somebody else know what i am harping on about, because i can feel myself getting vaguer by the second... ?

lazygamer:
Hmmm well the main idea was to find out what those CD's are, I don't think I'll need them for a long time, so that will save some burning time.

So if a person became "Really good" at Linux, could they set up Wine or WineX to emulate most Windows games really good, and emulate Windows 95/98/XP ability to run some DOS programs? If Wine did the trick, then I woulden't really care for older versions of Wind0ze.
