Can't install Linux

You have to look at your burning software documentation for the appropriate way to write ISO images for  your software.  You did nothing more than copy the ISO image files to the CD.  The ISO images contain the iso9660 filesystem so they have to be burned directly to CD not on top of an existing iso9660 filesystem.  Almost all burning software has this capability.

LorKorub:
XPissant,

Dude, just fucking go away.  You contribute absolutely nothing here except being the board's whipping boy.  XP is fucking garbage, so you can take your linx and shove it up you Redmond-gang-banged ass.

Back to what this board is for: To the guy who asked about buring ISO images to CDs, there is a good help file here at linuxiso.org that explains the whole process.  I just burned Debian last night with Nero and it works fine

I don't download Linux ISOs since I have dial-up and it would simply take a dog's age (several, in fact). You can get Linux CDs fromLinux Central. None are over $9.95 + S&H, and some are as low as $2.95. Another good source is Edmunds Enterprises; their CDs are even less. I think the most expensive ones they offer are $2.00 + S&H, and most go for $0.99. Both have fast deliveries, so you'll have your CDs in two to three days. Edmunds also offers Linux soft on CD. That's where I got KDE 3.0 for Slack. It's not a lot to pay, and you get high quality CDs.

Calum:
and for those people in Europe, try http://www.yourlinux.co.uk/ which sells in pounds and euros for much the same money.
