Hi, I need some help with my graphics card, (Long Post!! Just a warning :-) )

I have am having somw major problems getting my second graphics card to work. I have now had to use the original XF86Config (backup) file to get back to my desktop. Could someone please tell me how i get the Voodoo card working ... I know the Driver for my voodoo card is "tdfx"

I have included the config file here, so if anyone could edit it for me that would be cool. If not could someone explain how i get the second card working!

Im also using RH9. If you need anymore info let me know.

I have also read the man pages and countless howtos

Anyhelp would be greatfully apreciated.

Im sorry I dont have a solution to your question, however I have a question for you. The voodoo video cards are ancient in computer time and at this point are probably a huge performance bottleneck for your system. Why not use something a little newer. You can get a Geforce 4 for next to nothing now that the geforceFX cards are out, and simply put, the performance will blow away that ancient voodoo card. Also I heard that new drivers were written by the few hobbyists who still use the old things, not the company which is out of business. Nvidia writes the new linux drivers which probably have OpenGL support that would kill the voodoo. If you spend no more than $100 you could drastically improve performance. Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the reply, However i was going to buy another Gforce card, as mine is a Gforce 4 MX, But i only have 1 AGP which is in use..... I will most likly get another type of card next month, they are only

I sort of miss having a 3rd company making video cards.  Now days its either ATI or nvidia.  Sort of how we only have AMD or Intel to choose from.


Although it could be worse. It could be like how PC users pretty much have 1 operating system to choose from and everyone knows what im talking about.

Er what?  Oh and PC users have BSD and Linux as alternatives.  Don't like either?  Well then get a Mac!  BUT WAIT!!!  There is no Mac because, hey!  AMD or intel only!
