Buzzing sound in RH8

Hi all,

I'm on RH8 and am experiencing a buzzing sound..when konqueror is opened. Another way to replicate this sound is to simply highlight a message in evolution. The sound does not appear all the time, its only when certain things are highlighted the buzzing starts. I have disabled all sounds (minimise, maximise etc) but still no luck. Has this happened to anyone?

What could be the prob?

Sound card=Creative Vibra

Its loud enough to make it audible..If the sound card was the issue, it would have been continuous right? I think its a software prob...but where?

I have this problem on my laptop, but it happens whenever i move the mouse - in other words, whenever the mouse is moving, i hear a quiet buzzing sound.  I think it has to do with interference from the ps/2 port.
