Windows is far ahead than Linux
Crunchy(Cracked)Butter:

Here is a quote: "He said Linux was gaining popularity in some areas and its market share was improving, but only at the expense of the operating system UNIX and others - not Windows.
"With Linux you are just talking about the operating system piece. With Windows, you are talking about a directory, several platforms and a dozen additional things," he said. "You would have to pay quite a bit more if the Linux platform has to match what we have on the Windows platform."
hm_murdock:
No. You wouldn't. It's free, too.

So Bill's saying that all that software like apache, samba, etc. that comes with linux is "just the operating system?" Wtf? And what does he mean by "several platforms?" Does he mean Windows can run on SPARC, PPC, Alpha, etc.? And Linux can't? These comments are so stupid I wonder if this isn't some false quote a Linux head made up just to make Bill Gates look bad.
