Take a load of these numbers from a linux server

I was scaning a forum with nmap, i know the guy that runs the place so he lets me do that. Here is a number that speaks for its self from nmap.
Uptime 8.209 days (since Wed Dec 26 06:13:39 2001)

Yeah, mine is only back up to 114.587 days. It was up to 490+ days before the power outage. Pisses me off!

Damn man . Thats more than a hardware can handle lol.
I would leave my PC on but i dont mainly for two reasons.
a) A year ago i had my Vid Card fried cause of a thunderstorm, even though i have 50 dollar surge protector/backup power.
b) I did some tweaking with the deamons but am not sure if my system is still secure.

I was at 66 days according to my netcraft survey, but Im only at 34 days now. The single thing that helped my uptime the most was the purchase of a UPS. Now I dont have to worry about anything if the power is out for less than 45 minutes.

Well my users would hunt me down and killed me if I turned that server off at night. Not to mention it's not good for business if you turn your web server off at night. And yes, UPS is key, however it won't take a 6 hour outage.
