Crunchy(Cracked)Butter:
SuSE 8.1

ooh helpful    .

But Butter is right. There are several 'user friendly Distros' the top three seem to be Mandrake, RH and Suse, all of which are used by people here. Mandrake is historically based on RedHat. Try out both and see which one suits YOU.

CaptainCool:
I have never tried RH8 yet but will in the future. Right now I'm running Mandrake 9 which is easy as hell to install and use.But it's really up to you, just try one and see how it is.

Master of Reality:
RedHat 8, KDE 3
