features include support for Hyperthreading, serial ATA, and CDRW drives are no longer virtual SCSI devices, but actual IDE devices. Also ALSA has replaced the dated OSS, and Digital Video Broadcasting support is built in. There are so many new useful features. Read about them here.

I tried compiling some on my Slackware 9.1. It's 2.6 ready apparently...
Refuses to mount my swap, ALSA doesn't work, even OSS won't load right. :mad:
Guess I'm stuck with 2.4.22 :(
