Zombie you are truly a mongoloid.  I just built a brand new computer with extremly recent hardware, and guess what?  Windows XP didn't detect the GeForce 4 correctly.. called it an unknown generic display adapter and it ran like crap until I got the drivers my self.  Linux, on the other hand, knew what it was right away, and the accelerated drivers would have come with the distribution but it said I had to download them due to licensing reasons with nvidia.  But at least it installed the opensource drivers and it didn't chug like XP made it.  Yes, Linux may have some hardware that it has problems with, but if you get past winmodems and other crap there isn't much Linux doesn't support.  This is truly amazing for such a minority desktop OS like Linux.  Furthermore, why are you bragging about a monopoly supporting the majority of hardware?  Get a life, you twat.  Linux users may have to put up with a very slight amount of hardware incompatibility but on the other hand they don't have to put up with product activation, forced upgrades, outrageous licensing fees, or privacy issues (which, bonehead, some people value even if they don't look up porn)  So shut up about your love affair with XP.  If you think XP is so great then why don't you marry it?

Have me beat? Dream on. It's just pointless arguing with a bone head. It reminds me a lot of of my son's neighbor friend who happens to be partially retarded. He likes to argue too, and then I remember that he has a disability and drop it. Arguing with you goes pretty much the same way.

The only hardware that i have had (numerous) problems with is my sound card, but i had the same problems with my sound card in windows and had to go searching for drivers for it. I fucked up my DVD out of shear stupidity (didnt bother to check if it was set as a master or a slave).

DO you block your windows from connecting to the internet or something? Even when i used windows 98 it would contact the update site to check for M$ updates (that was probably harmless though).And win XP contacts MS if you use hotmail, it tells MS what your searching for using thier "search assistant" thingy, i have never actually used XP so i am going by what i have heard.
And i have more private things other than the Gigs of porn on my hard drive, those people at MS can copy all my porn if they want to.
