Xine?
« on: 24 December 2002, 22:14 »
I need help installing Xine.  I first install the lib files then when I try to install the gtk or normal UI it says I don't have the lib files installed.  It said to check this one file (can't remember it off the top of my head) to make sure that there was a line in it.  There was.  It also said try using the command ldconfig -v and it said that that command didn't exist.  I really need help, I NEED a competent video player for Linux.  I heard Xine was that competent video player.

yes, i did all of this as root.  I'm beginning to wonder if it possible to use any distro of linux without having to install all of the packages which takes a tremendous amount of space.
