Walmart-- Mandrake Linux
KernelPanic:
Not only are Walmart selling lidows PC's :-( but mandrake too :).
This is the quote from my Mandrake newsletter
quote: Mandrake in the News
----------------------------------------
Newsforge.net -- Mandrake on Microtel systems at Walmart.com soon.
"Keep your eye on Walmart.com for new Microtel systems bearing the
Mandrake logo. The systems will sell alongside the newly announced
Lindows-based PCs, say sources. And continue to look for more online
retail envelope-pushing from Wal-Mart's online wing, of all places."
--- End quote ---
Start of the revolution???
TheQuirk:
Lindows will make all the average guys say "man, this lun-eeeeeeee-ksssssssssss stuff can't even run MS Virus Make Pro 5325 right!" Or whatever the new addition to the Microsoft software line up is.
foobar:
I live in Holland, where we don't have things like a walmart. But it sound like a rather large discount store ....
I heard lindows was really a bum ... but i don't know ! Why don't they just sell linux on it ?
Calum:
cos the fucktards wouldn't buy it, or that's the perception anyway. i think they would buy it. the only reason people buy windows is because it comes with the machine.
KernelPanic:
I live in england i just heard about it from the newsletter like i said. They (Walmart) do own ASDA though :(
