If I install Red Hat 9 on an unformatted hard disk (with Windoze in it), will it overwrite Windoze?

how can it be unformatted AND have windows on it?

I don't think you can install linux on a fat partition anyways.

GamerX:
Bah! I worded it incorrectly, I meant I haven't wiped Windoze off yet, can it it write over Windoze?

Stryker:
Of course it can, you dont have to do that manually.

Pantso:
I don't really understand what you mean. Do you want Linux to overwrite the Windows partition or not? If that's what you're after then it will if you tell the installer to do so. If, on the other hand you're talking about a FAT32 partition, which you'd like to shrink down and make room for Linux, then this can also be done from Anaconda, the RH installer. What exactly are you after?
