Billy Gates interested in biology.....good or bad?

Turns out Billy Gates is a huge fan of biology. He is enthusiastic about it and supposedly it's a hobby of his.
On one side this is good....he is the richest guy on the face of the earth and him donating tons of money for biology/health purposes is great.
But I have to wonder....what if he wakes up one day and decides to start making biotech software specifically for doctors, hospitals, and other medical facilities? Windows Medical Edition? This would certainly lead to chaos among the medical community.

what isn't funny is the amount of dodgy virus prone unstable windows machines in hospitals and other locations where their failure could be responsible for loss of life or other medical damage.
