Times like this I wish I was still presueing my interest in going into politics.. than I could be that legislator... MAUHYAHAHAHHAHHAHAHHAHHAHahhAh NI!

Anyone ever consider writing a senator or somethng.. it proly wouldn't get anywhere. but.. it is worth a shot. or we could just start a revolution, over through the govenrment and make all software opensource.... or not.. I'm easy..

TB:
Congressmen and Senators don't listen to well written letters from the public or give a shit about issues that deeply affect society (that's what they SHOULD be doing, but let's face it, we're living in a FAR from ideal world). There's only one thing that'll get the attention of Congressmen and Senators - MONEY. The truth is that politicians (especially American ones) are nothing more than filthy whores in three-piece suits. If you want to pry M$ open and to halt DRM and TCPA dead in their tracks, a good way to do it is to form a lobby group. Grease the palms of enough of these cocksuckers in D.C. and you can just sit back and watch the pendulum swing against M$'s favour.

The fundamental problem with this strategy is getting the money concerned, because we're not just fighting M$, let's not forget some of the key players in the DRM arena - like the MPAA and the RIAA.

The question i pose now is - Who's up for some fundraising? I'm sure a billion or so will at least get a foot in the door for our cause.

choasforages:
im waiting for someone to mail a deaththreat to senator hollings. i can't wait to hear that on fox news

slave:
If Microsoft released the Windows code under the GPL I'd stop using Windows because I hate open source.  I'd use BeOS instead or a proprietary version of Linux.
