im glad i found this site!
bmxermark:
this site has 100% made me choose to be a full linux user
i have tested it and thought it was much better than the virus (windows)
1 question - can i use photoshop with it, i dnt really like 'the gimp' so much!
emh:
Some people have reported it working with Crossover Office from Codeweavers (at http://www.codeweavers.com ).
The latest version of Wine might run it, but I can't guarantee anything.
So I guess the answer to your question is, it depends on how much you really want it to work. My suggestion is don't give up on the GIMP yet. It just takes some getting used to.
I read somewhere that there's a version of Linux with a modified version of Wine that claims to run Photoshop, but I don't remember off hand where I read that.
So, in conclusion, I haven't really answered your question. Sorry about that. ;)

Here try this link:

It's only PS5.5, but then again you can't expect the world.
The most valuable thing you can do if you want Photoshop is to e-mail Adobe specifically informing them of that.
It is within their capability to do it, but these people are interested in money. Just as BT want to see lots of people wanting *DSL at a telephone exchange to make the investment in an upgrade, adobe want to know there are linux users wanting and willing to pay for a linux port of their apps.
I'm no great fan of closed source apps where they can be avoided, but I understand in some situations they are necessary.
So my friend, you contact Adobe, and request acknoledgement of you e-mail - don't want to be ignored

I just stopped by Codeweaver's page, and they have just released a new version of Crossover Office, which now supports Photoshop.
If you're really serious about using Photoshop in Linux, this is probably your best bet.

I think there's a trial version you can download.
bmxermark:
Trial Downloads are Offline
Due to overwhelming demand, we have temporarily suspended trial downloads. We will turn them back on after the initial wave of traffic passed.
