why does mplayer have to hate me so much?!
voidmain:
/usr/lib or /usr/lib/win32? Also the link you posted to that *.ram file does not seem to be valid. Please post a link so I am make sure it works on my machine as well.

oh, and those libraries are in /usr/lib/win32
voidmain:
Yeah, it's not playing for me either, when I download the *.rm file and try and run it locally through MPlayer it tells me:
Requested audio codec family [racook] (afm=realaud) not available (enable it at
compilation!)
But the codec definitions are in my codec.conf file. It appears the binary version that I downloaded was not compiled with realaud support.
Now it plays fine under RealPlayer for Linux of course which is what I have always used for Real content. Any specific reason you don't want to install RealPlayer?
distortion:
i tried. when i ran their setup program it just said "can't run (whatever the name of the setup program was)". that was it
voidmain:
Well, unfortunately I can't help you with that since you are running Slackware (It's been 7 or 8 years since I used Slackware). RealPlayer works perfectly on Red Hat. Maybe some of the other Slackers here can help you get RP installed and running.
