Solaris

Heru:
listen XP loser!
Solaris is a good OS.  It is generally used on mainframe servers or other high-risk mission critical servers.  XP is not useful for mainframe use.  Hell XP is hardly useful at all.

In our modern age, the same program will often run and compile on Solaris, Linux, Free/Open/NetBSD MacOSX, and others without modification.  There are almost as many programs for Solaris as for Linux becuase of this.  The true beauty of unix is being able to do this.

Personally through my experience with MS products, you'd have to be insane to use them on a server of any kind(and apparently some people are).  The unixes are better for that job, even Minix!  Hell even IBM PC-DOS is better on servers, than MS products.  I've had XP blue screen on me when it was trying to process SETI data; now windows only does that while it is idle, so that was the only thing it was doing, and it crashed.

[edit - since this moron's posts have started to really get on the tits of the real posters, i will be taking a conservative attitude towards censorship when it comes to XP Luser's posts from now on. This post was utter gash, and you are better off not seeing it, now it's been deleted.

To XP Luser #174813647823, I will continue to delete your useless and obstructive posts until you either start to contribute actual opinions or facts. Basically anything of any substance. It's not hard, i stopped hassling gooseberry clock when he started trying to make sense, so either explain why you are doing this, start posting intelligently, stop posting entirely, or else i will keep deleting your moronic and time wasting posts. The choice is yours, the ball is in your court. Okay, back to the discussion about Solaris...

Based on what I've heard from a few Sun users, Solaris for Intel is ass compared to the Solaris for native Sun boxes. Might be something to keep in mind.. but hey, free is free.

How dare you delete my post!  I forgot what I even wrote there anyway.  I make more sense than most of you goonies here, so buzz off.  I know you like deleting my posts because you're afraid of what they contain, but your censorship may backfire, so be careful.  People may begin to see you for the post-censoring Mac elitist that you are.

[edit - (Calum Says) i don't have a mac and i have no regret over deleting your posts. You post in every topic you can find, and you usually elicit an average of three to four angry responses which seriously disrupts the flow of discussion.Either explain yourself or stop posting.

I will not be editing your posts in future however in the interests of free speech. From now on the onus will be on people not to reply to you, which will minimise the damage.

Anyway, you didn't forget what you posted, because it's a different Microsoft employee posting using this username every day, so you personally never wrote this drivel in the first place.
Leave now.]

Leave dumb ass.  You are more annoying than Greaseberry Crotch EVER was. Solaris has *nothing* to do with a Mac.  Now scram. Well webmaster, I think it's finally come to a point where a user needs to be locked out. He certainly can't seem to follow the topics...
