Can you put a linux (like, mandrake) on a 333 mhz laptop without too much flaws ?? or is it really bad .. ? help

That depends on wether it is is equipped with some exotic piece of hardware or not (ask Calum, he knows)
A google search for the brand/model of the laptop combined with the word linux might also yield some results.

I have tried installing RedHat, SuSe and Mandrake on my laptop...only RedHat worked....Try RedHat 7.1 and select the "Laptop" install....good luck

I have two Dell Lattitude laptops with RedHat 7.2 running just fine on both of them. One's an older model and one is a newer model. I also installed Linux many years ago on a Zenith 286 laptop with the Mono X server. That was before RedHat was around, I recall it being an early Slackware distro or SLS.
