And in the same breath Gartner said Linux server shipments will double next year. Gartner are also the ones that said that everyone should stop using IIS immediately and use Apache because Microsoft is incompetent when it comes to security. Which Gartner do we believe? But Linux has already won in every place I care about so....

Even if liux just gets 5% of the desktop market thats not a failure is it?  Its more than apple's share.
