if you like the gui (especially KDE] do this:
[K-menu]-"Run Command..."
Command: kwikdisk

There will be a little icon in yer dock-tray (next to the clipboard) that you can click on to bring up a menu and let you mount and unmount fs's on the fly and show you the "df" output for each.

really nice indeed.
