Some problems with installation sound card to linux Enigma.

You should be aware, that creative don't seem to be too forth coming on old hardware on linux. I have a creative soundcard (pci128) which gets recognized as an Ensoniq ES1371 (audio PCI-97) - which sounds generic.

Also are you running under KDE, because that can give lots of sound issues, unitil it's configured correctly. I'm working on this myself.
