Debunking the top ten reasons to "Make the Move" to LindowsOS
slave:
It pisses me off.
It appears Lindows.com, in addition to copying the look of Apple's website, has decided to add its own "reasons to switch" list. Here's the Apple.com list:
http://www.apple.com/switch/whyswitch/
And here's the Lindows.com list:
http://info.lindows.com/10Reasons/
From the website:
1.) Low Cost
For only $49 you get a complete operating system with email, web browsing, instant messaging, etc. For only $119 you get LindowsOS AND hundreds of software products that provide the same functionality as typical Microsoft
Refalm:
Lindows OS is a really bad example of what Linux is, and what it stands for...
I think the distribution is meant for the dumb and ignorant...
flap:
Everyone seems to dislike Lindows because it goes against the free spirit of Linux and is to some extent proprietary, which is fair enough, but it's no worse than OS X, which no-one here seems to have a problem with.

LindowsOS is designed with the desktop user in mind and is the easiest to install and use operating system you'll ever experience. You can Install LindowsOS in under 10 minutes. No, really, UNDER 10 minutes! You will feel right at home with the natural and familiar layout and graphical environment.
That's a mis-statement, because after you install the "base" OS you have to reboot and continue to install the rest of the system. SuSE does the same trick.

Extremetech did it in 7
