You have my vote on the F/S and kernel; my gut feeling is a boot floppy; you can add LILO or GRUB later.

well, definatly need 128 for swap. and put the rest of / on the first drive, then make a /stuff dir on the 1.2 gig drive. and stick the apps in their after
chmod 1777 /stuff
and configureing wine to do it

and use grub if you can. it is way better then lilo, it can boot *almost* anything
